The vision for Sweetgrass Place began with local community listening sessions, identifying the critical need for regional dementia support systems in North Dakota.
2024
The vision for Sweetgrass Place began, rooted in the needs of rural North Dakota families facing memory loss.
2025
Completed formal training in holistic dementia care, including training at AMI Montessori for Dementia in London, England, and undertook site visits to successful adult day programs for people with dementia in southern UK.
2026
Sweetgrass Care Initiative LLC was formally established and we began forming strategic partnerships with regional health and community organizations.

The Future of Care in Bismarck and Beyond
Our vision extends far beyond our initial Bismarck–Mandan site. We are building a scalable model of dignity and support that can be adapted for rural communities across the entire Midwest, ensuring that distance never dictates the quality of care one receives.
